River Road, near Amarillo. David, 12, and Charles, 9, Lightfoot saw a disk
land behind a hill and touched it. It was the size of a car tire, about 30
cm high, with a rounded top that rotated and a pivot between the base and
top. It took off very fast. The faces and arms of the boys later became
red.

(UFO Encyclopedia)
Late in the evening, Captain G.W. Schemel of TWA was flying at 18,000 feet
when the lights of an object appeared less than a mile away from his
plane.
The object flashed towards the plane at incredible speed, Schemel dived, and the UFO disappeared overhead in a burst of light. Several passengers were injured in the dive, since Schemel had not had time to warn them to fasten their seat belts.
The Air Force explained the event away as a conventional aircraft, but Schemel disagreed, and the CAA said there was no other aircraft within 50 miles.

At 9 p.m., a man was driving through Arlington, Texas (population 160,123)
midway between Dallas and Fort Worth when he "noticed a very bright light,
crystal-white blinking light--strobe like. I watched the light as it went
erratically towards the east. The movement was unlike any an airplane or
helicopter might make. Between flashes, the light seemed to move from one
point to another faster than usually seen with a typical aircraft. I
followed but was unable to catch up with the light before it dropped near
the Arlington Municipal Airport."
"I quickly drove to the airport parking lot," he added, "to look for a plane that had recently landed but (he) saw nothing."

BAYTOWN
7/18/66
(McDonald)
Several persons evidently saw an interesting object there at about 9:00
a.m. The original source on this case was an article that appeared in the
10/8/66 _Houston Post. The principal witnesses, W. T. Jackson and
assistant Kelly Dikeman, were inside Jackson's service station when
Jackson spotted the object hovering motionless about 100 yards away. (The
Post said 1000 yards, but Jackson later pointed out that he had been
interviewed while he was waiting on customers at the station and the
reporter didn't get all of it correct.) Jackson explained that the object
"lay right over the Dairy Queen." He described it as a white object that
"looked like two saucers turned together with a row of square windows in
between", and he thought it might have been 50 feet in diameter. He called
Dikeman over, and they both looked at it for a few seconds and then
simultaneously started for the door to get a better look. Almost at that
moment it started moving westward. Dikeman was at the door before Jackson
and had the last view of it as it passed over a water tower, beyond
buildings and a refinery and was gone, "faster than any airplane." Jackson
described it as pure white, and definitely not spinning, since he saw
clearly the features that he termed "windows." Jackson kept the incident
to himself for a time; when it got out, two nurses who were unwilling to
give him their names because "they didn't want to be laughed at" stopped
at his station and told him they had seen it from another part of Baytown.

BRAZORIA
2/5/97
(RDUP 2/9/97)
At 11:30 p.m., motorists driving north on Texas Highway 36 from Brazoria
spotted a formation of five circular red lights in the sky.
"...from this distance they looked about tree (top) level as he was coming closer to West Columbia." The UFOs passed directly over the ... vehicle, and he estimated "that they were about a thousand feet up. I told him I didn't know how high a thousand would be, so he said about three radio towers high."
The witness reported that, heading north out of Brazoria, the formation approached from "the left hand side of the road" (the west) "over to the right hand side of the road" (the east) and on (southward) to Bailey's Prairie or Angelton or maybe the Lake Jackson area. He said the lights were all at the same level, and they were spread apart more than a football-field length would be."
"... he said all he could see were the lights. At one point, he described them (the lights) as coming out of a cone-shaped area. He was all wound up because he thinks this UFO stuff is a bunch of hooey. But now he's wondering just what it was he saw. The guy in the car behind him ran off the road. He doesn't know if it was because he slowed down to stare at the objects, or if the guy beside him also saw the objects."

5 km west of this town, military and civilian witnesses reported a
submarine-shaped object, red and white, two or three times as long as a

vicinity, a flash from the object coincided with the sudden failure of the
headlights.

at the time.
CEDAR HILL
3/3/96
(RDUP3/11/96)
At about 9:15 p.m., two teenaged boys looked out an upstairs window and
saw a triangular UFO hovering above the prairie a mile away. Cedar Hill is
a suburb of Dallas, located southwest of the city, just south of
Duncanville. The UFO was seen northwest of Cedar Hill, well beyond the
intersection of Love Freeway (Highway 67) and Belt Line Road (Highway
1382). Just beyond the site lies a man-made reservoir called Joe Pool
Lake.
According to the eyewitnesses, the UFO was joined by two other triangular objects. Each of the triangular UFOs had bright lights on the stern. The trio floated around in the air about twenty degrees above the horizon. At 9:20 or so, they were joined by six dark gray spherical UFOs. These objects had blue and white lights at the "equators" of their globes. The nine UFOs hovered there for another few minutes. Then the triangular UFOs ascended one by one, rising in the direction of the moon, while the circular UFOs scattered in all directions.

A group of sightings known as the "Lubbock lights" actually began in
Albuquerque, NM on 8/25/51. Soon after this, several college professors in
Lubbock saw a formation of lights pass overhead as they sat on a porch
talking. A few hours later, the phenomena repeated, and they each wrote
their observations separately. The lights were softly glowing, bluish
objects that were in a loose formation. There were also observations made
on Air Force radar in the areas of the sightings.
Five days later, on August 31, a college student who was an amateur photographer was able to take five pictures of the lights.
Some of these sightings were explained as Lubbock's new mercury-vapor street lights reflecting off birds' bellies, but that doesn't explain the Albuquerque sightings, the radar sightings, or the fact that the sightings abruptly stopped within a couple of weeks. Neither does it explain the photos, which could not be duplicated by experts.

According to UFO buff Daniel Michael, who copied the tape from a news broadcast Friday, the tape shows a daytime scene, a blue sky with no clouds, and the white UFO hovering clearly in the sky. "A bird flew overhead near the tree and can be seen in the picture (with the UFO) at the same time."

73,000) just north of Dallas when he spied a UFO.
"I was driving and casually looked up to the sky," he recalled. "To my surprise...and delight...I saw a disc-shaped object hovering roughly a thousand feet (330 meters) in the sky" near the horizon. For a moment, a shelterbelt grove of trees impeded his view. "When the trees got out of the way, it was gone," he added. "It was a disc-shaped object that was partially reflecting the sun. It was high enough that, if it wasn't a UFO, I would have seen it flying away or something."

An eyewitness came out of his house at 8:45 p.m. and saw "a very peculiar
cluster of lights directly overhead."
"The lights were of varying size...and oriented in a straight line from the caller's vantage point," the center reported. "It appeared to be at least five lights, perhaps more, and the two lights on the 'nose' and the 'tail' of the cluster were very bright, and the three lights between the two were smaller..." The witness had the UFO in view for about 10 seconds, and reported that the object passed "directly overhead, heading in a northwesterly direction."

YELLOW FALLS
9/26/57
(Magonia)
Three hundred people were said to have seen three elongated objects with a
series of portholes, amneuvering at ground level in an area with many
empty oil wells. One of these objects, said to be 150 meters long and 20
meters high, pearl-colored, glistening under the setting sun and showing a
series of circles painted on its surface, landed for 20 minutes. An
occupant emerged, observed the abandoned derricks and took off again.
Observed through binoculars, he appeared as a "monster," 1 meter tall,
moving with strange jumps. He picked up something from the ground.
(Note: I have been informed that "Yellow Falls" never existed and that this
"report" may be a hoax. - Loy)
