CE-I. Two women saw a cigar-shaped object about 20 meters long with
bright red lights at both ends, flying erratically. It made a
whistling sound when moving, but was silent when hovering. The
lights began flashing and the object went down behind some trees
when five planes and a helicopter came over the area. Two of the
aircraft circled the location, then flew on. The whistling sound
was heard again, but the object was not seen again.

CE-I. A child became upset by a UFO near a school. When three adults
came outside to calm the child, they also saw the object
circling and hovering. They called the police. Two police
officers arrived and saw the object appear to "dance" with two
other objects. All witnesses then observed the arrival of one
helicopter and two aircraft, as the remaining object flew away
to the southwest. Police described the object as plate-shaped
when stationary above the school building. TV reception was
blurred throughoput the observation.

CE-I. At 0930 EDST, a Paris-New York TWA Constellation was passing
near Boston when the cockpit crew spotted "a large,
white-colored disc-like object" overhead (Ref. 41). Capt.
Charles J. Kratovil, copilot W. R. Davis, and flight engineer
Harold Raney all watched it for a total time of 10 minutes as
they flew on their own southwestward course to New York. They
would occasionally lose it behind overlying clouds. Knowing that
they were flying into headwinds, they concluded that it could
not be any kind of balloon, so they radioed the Boston airport
control tower, which informed him that jets were scrambled and
saw the object, but could not close with it.
After landing in New York, Capt. Kratovil was informed that official spokesmen had attributed the sighting to a "weather balloon" released from Grenier AFB, in New Hampshire. However, the fact that the object was moving against the wind makes this doubtful.

(Magonia)
Two people observed deep fog in the vicinity of a cemetary and
saw a light in the center, coming from an object hovering 100
meters above the ground. Thinking it was a fire, the witnesses
stopped. Paralysis and ignition interference were then noted
while the object, about 13 meters in diameter, oscillated and
then departed with a whirring sound. It took about 20 minutes
for the witnesses to regain muscular coordination.

At about 1 a.m., a UFO with prominent blue lights appeared over
Leominster, and moved east over Lunenburg, Townsend and Groton.
It encountered the witness's car near the intersection of Route
3 and Interstate Highway 495 just south of Lowell.
According to the witness, "I was on Route 3 near Lowell and had
just pulled onto 495 heading south. It was around 1 a.m. I was
alone in the car and (on) the highway. I had just passed Exit 30
(the Ayer/ Leominster turnoff). Then the lights hit me from
behind. Blue lights. Very round, very close to the ground. At
first I thought it was a state trooper, but then the lights were
gone. They reappeared just ahead of my car, heading south, as
well," he added. "They were much higher in the sky this time and
flashed forward suddenly. Then they stopped. A quick zigzagging
of 90 degrees to the left (eastward) and they were gone. Faster
than anything I have ever seen."

A weird-looking UFO flew over Longmeadow, at 4:44 p.m. on
Sunday, March 17, 1996. It was seen by two teenagers who
happened to be looking through a skylight at that particular
moment. According to the two witnesses, the front of the UFO
"was in the shape of an egg" while the rear was "rounded." One
youth estimated that the UFO was 80 feet long. The strange
object also had two protrusions on either side that looked like
stubby wings. The UFO "passed right over the skylight," one
witness said. "The (UFO's) big lights looked like the lights on
a Mercedes but BIGGER!" They found the large lights blinding but
added that the smaller lights didn't bother their eyes.

A man saw what he thought was a crashing plane, then observed
that it was oval-shaped and had white, red, and green lights. It
flew low over him, circled, came down with a pendulum motion,
and appeared to land on Route 114. Later that night, at
midnight, two other men driving that same route saw a beam of
light sweep the road. They stopped, and saw a diisk-shaped
object in a filed, with a white, green, and three red lights.
PETERSHAM
4/27/96
(RDUP5/26/96)
At approximately 6 p.m., a man standing on the eastern shore of
the Quabbin Reservoir, just west of Petersham, Massachusetts,
spotted three UFOs in the sky over the huge man-made lake.
"I saw them moving in a circular, sweeping sort of motion," the
man said. "They made no noise and produced only a brightening
light that seemed to silhouette them against the sky." At first
"the UFOs appeared as lines in the sky," he added, "but by their
appearance I judged them to be flat or concave in shape. The
area (of flight) was west of my position looking over the
Quabbin. The objects were moving at what I would say was 30
miles per hour in a north-south rotation, switching directions
in the air. I watched them for about five minutes until the
objects zipped over the(Berkshire) hills to the west."
