John T. King was driving near Bangor when he met a huge domed disc hovering over the road. As he drove towards it his lights dimmed and the radio stopped and King believed he was in danger. King had a Magnum pistol in his car which he pulled out and proceeded to fire on the disc. With the third shot, the disc took off at "tremendous speed". Magonia lists this same sighting, but gives the date as 3/25/66.

A man out hunting observed an elongated object flying very slowly, tilted toward the earth. It crashed into some trees at the end of a clearing. The enormous craft seemed undamaged as it rested briefly on the ground, then lifted again with a humming sound, started to spin, released a shower of fine silvery threads, and rose straight up, disappearing in seconds.

A silver, oval UFO flying at 23,000 was seen by the crew of an F94 jet. The crew attempted to give chase, but gave up when it appeared useless. Two pilots from a different squadron also saw the object and discussed pursuit, but decided against it. One of them was heard by ground control to say I'll never admit I saw the thing.

Michael D. was at the general store in North Yarmouth, Maine when an elderly man rushed in, very excited. He told Mike and the storekeeper that he had "just seen four white disks moving in and out of clouds" over nearby Bradbury Mountain. The store clerk said he would call the Brunswick Naval Air Station in Bath, Maine and try to find out what was going on. North Yarmouth is 20 miles east of Bath.

The announcer for station WBLM said four white discs had just been sighted over Reid State Park, across the bay near Phippsburg, Maine. Phippsburg is on a small peninsula six miles (9 kilometers) south of Bath.

9:30 a.m. Witnesses: Mr. and Mrs. F.E. Robinson. One silver dollar-shaped object with a dome and a flashing light made a sound like a swarm of bees. It hovered and tilted, flew horizontally, then rose vertically without tilting. Stones underneath it moved. Four minute sighting.

Note: consideration was given to this being USAF KC-97 airplanes involved in a refueling operation. The sighting involved 20 miutes.

On August 1, 1945 @ 1:45 o'clock a.m. in Waterville, Maine "A vacationer saw a 'terrific explosion in the sky, followed by a bright light' south of Great Pond, which is 12 miles southwest of Waterville, Maine. The explosion's sound rocked the earth."
