A man from Center, Colorado,filmed three silvery disks near the
summit of Greenie Mountain. During a period of about twenty
minutes, he videotaped three separate flat silvery disk-like
objects. The saucer shape is unmistakable, and all three UFOs
appeared to be spinning.

seconds moving north to south" over the Pike National Forest

of Center. The witness described the UFO as "a bright orange
light... it had a cigar shape and did not appear to be moving."
She added that she has seen this same orange light in the area
"off and on all summer." Center is on Highway 112 about 15 miles
(24 kilometers) north of Monte Vista.

At 6:30 p.m., two people in Crestone, Colorado "saw a bright
object, larger than a satellite, flying over the mountains from
the east. The object appeared to 'shoot' across to the west at a
high rate of speed." The witnesses felt that it was not a
"shooting star" because "it went from a slow to an extremely
fast speed." Crestone lies at the end of a Saguache County road
leading into the Sangre de Cristo range and is about 70 miles
(202 kilometers) northeast of Center.

Just after noontime on Thursday, October 10, 1996, rancher Brian
Norton of Del Norte, Colorado looked up and "saw an object that
looked like the space shuttle coming in." Norton said the UFO
"looked like a white cigar." The object had no tail, no wings,
left no contrail and was utterly silent. He ran in the house to
get his hunter's spotting scope, but when he returned, it was
gone. Mrs. Norton also saw the UFO but declined to offer a
description.

Captain Paul L. Carpenter was flying an American Airlines DC-6
near Denver when a plane ahead of him radioed that a formation
of flying saucers had just passed them. Carpenter turned down
the cabin lights in order to see better and saw four lights
race past him at an estimated 3,000 mph.

It is claimed that, in 1953 and 1954, F-86s were dispatched from
Lowery AFB equipped with "gun cameras". They took thousands of
feet of film of UFOs over Idaho during several missions that
were specifically for that purpose. The film was unloaded by
others and sent off for evaluation. It was never seen by the
pilots, who were sworn to secrecy.

Memorial Day holiday on a tour of the Anasazi Indian ruins at
Mesa Verde National Park, 45 miles west of Durango, Colorado.
As their tour finished at 12:30 p.m., "my visiting sister and I
noticed a stationary silver 'circle' in the sky hovering below a
vapor trail," Mrs. W said, "This is what made it so noticeable."

each with a row of six whitish-orange lights, slowly drifting
around over the South Pinyon Hills." The UFOs moved in unison
and were described as being "a little larger than a (U.S. Air
Force C-131) transport plane. After traveling north for about
ten miles, they slowly began drifting west across the San Luis
Valley between Antonito and Romeo. At no time did the objects
travel faster than an estimated 40 miles per hour. The sighting
lasted about 40 minutes."

On Friday at 10 p.m., a man videotaped more film footage of the
UFOs seen recently over Salida. The new video shows a large flat
silvery disk with glowing white disks coming out of it and
performing loops and zigzag manuevers all around the mother
ship. The man said he now has eight hours of UFO video footage.
He added that the silvery disk had been seen daily over Salida
from March 14 to March 22, usually between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The disk usually hovers near the sun, making it hard to spot.

At 11 a.m., five people in Salida, Colorado, were stunned to see
a "mother ship" UFO flying north through the San Luis Valley.
The eyewitnesses saw the object from three separate locations in
Salida. Witnesses described the UFO as "a large cylinder" with
"a center light." The object was escorted by six triangular
UFOs, three on each side, flying in a V formation.

The white globe retreated to the south, passing over Methodist

helicopter south of Salida when she saw "a green globe south of
town over Methodist Mountain. Viewed for a few seconds hovering,
and then shoots straight south in a downward movement and
disappears behind a ridge. As it took off at tremendous speed,
she said there was a streak much like a shooting star."
She described the UFO as "about half the size of the full moon,
pure green and was a very strange sight."

A daytime sighting by at least a dozen persons, in several
parts of town, occurred near 5:00 p.m. in Trinidad, Colo. Two
objects, domed on the top but nearly flat on the bottom, shaped
like a cup upside down, having no rim or "sombrero brim", a
witness said, were moving slowly westward from Fisher's Peak,
which lies just south of Trinidad. The objects, moved up and
down in bobbing manner as they progressed slowly westward
along the ridgeline. Occasionally they tilted, glinting in the
late-afternoon sun as if metallic. No sound was mentioned by any
witness.
